Lucie Waleczek Zotykova as a Guest at the Faculty of Management, UG, at the Invitation of Sylwia Badowska Ph.D. from the Department of Marketing

As part of the fifth edition of the prestigious “Visiting Professors at UG” program, the Faculty of Management at the University of Gdańsk will host Lucie Waleczek Zotykova from Slezská Univerzita v Opavě (Czech Republic). The guest will visit at the invitation of Sylwia Badowska Ph.D. from the Department of Marketing. The purpose of the visit is to conduct comparative research on consumer behavior among seniors and hold seminars for students and academic staff.

The “Visiting Professors at UG” program is an initiative supporting the development of an international university, ensuring the highest quality of scientific research and education. Thanks to this initiative, the University of Gdańsk annually hosts esteemed researchers from around the world. This year, 17 scholars from 12 countries will visit the university, including from Belgium, the Czech Republic, France, Spain, Hong Kong, Japan, Lithuania, Germany, Portugal, South Africa, the United States, and the United Kingdom.

In this year's edition of the program, which is part of the Excellence Initiative “Research University”, 28 applications were submitted for a total amount of PLN 566,450, of which 60.71% were positively evaluated. The awarded funding amounted to PLN 243,200. During their visits, the guest professors will conduct a total of 165 teaching hours, and their research will cover the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences. The cooperation will result in publications in international journals and joint scientific projects.
